Nothingness (1/19/10)

A nothing man once said,
that I would fall and fall hard.
I ignored his words,
of that man, that card.
Who would listen to a nothing man?
Not I, I swore with every breath
I went on with my life.

The day I fell, it was as imminent,
as as old one's death.
When I told him, the one I had
fallen for, about how I felt
he laughed at me!
"I told you you'd fall," he said.
I had fallen for that nothing man.
Now he is my everything.
And I am now nothing myself.
